Let Bhavika and Rita working together
can finish a job in x days.
Then, in 1 day they will complete = 1/x work
Bhavika working alone do in 1 day = 1/(x+8) work
Rita working alone will do in 1 day = 1/(x+9/2) work
So, 1/(x+8) + 1/(2x+9) = 1/x
=> [(2x+9) + 2(x+8)]/[(x+8)(2x+9)] = 1/x
=> x = 6days
