Solutions:
Answer.1.(4);
volume of metal= (52 × 40 × 29 – 48 × 36 ×27) = 13664
Weight of metal = [(13664*0.5)/1000] = 6.832 Kg.
Answer.2. (2)
Volume of water = (80 × 60 × 6.5) = 31200 m^3
Area of cross section of the pipe = [(20/100)^2] = 1/25 m^2
Volume of water emptied in 1 hour= [(15*1000)/25]=600 m^3
Time taken to empty the water tank = 31200/600 = 52 hours
Answer.3. (2)
Weight =[{(1/9)^1/2}^3]*(9000) = 9000/27= 333.3 kg
Answer.4. (5)
Let the numerator and denominator be 2x and 5x. Now
(2x + 4)/10 = 1/3
X = 3.
Required sum = 2x + 5x = 7x = 21
Answer.5. (1)
Required percentage = (750000 – 700000)/700000 * 100 = 7.14%
Answer.6. (3)
Number of books to be removed = 19 5 +1 = 96
Answer.7. (2)
Number of arrangements = 3! * 6! = 4320
Answer.8. (3)
Total score of students = 3 * 90 + 9 * 80 + 4 * 70 + 4 * 60 = 1510
Required average = 1510/20 = 75.5
Answer.9. 3; 7800
