Answer.2. 5; The sentence is correct in it’s given form.
Answer.3. (3 and 4); Replace “who have” with “with”, so the correct sentence would be as per the rules, “Narendra Modi likes people with integrity and with good character.”
Answer.4. (3 and 4); Replace “motivate themselves” with “motivated” and “exhibit dedication” with “dedicated” respectively, according the rules of parallelism the sentence should be in synchronized form, here ambitious is an adjective so according to the rules, adjectives “motivated” and “dedicated” should be there.
Answer.5. (1 and 2); Here, being melancholic should be replace with “melancholy” (An adjective) because “Aggression” (An adjective) is used here, and according to the rules, Adjective should be compared with another adjective.
Ans.6. 4; Walking’ is the correct answer because the two friends were going through the desert. Swimming is not possible in a desert area; it is a water activity. No other option fits in logically. Hence, option (4) is the correct answer.
Ans.7. 1; Only ‘journey’ is the correct answer as it involves travelling from one place to another and the two friends were walking through the desert. Hence, option (1) is the correct answer.
Ans.8. 5; ‘Hurt’, which means to feel physical pain, is the correct answer because one friend slapped the other in the face. Hence, option (5) is the correct answer.

Ans.10. 1; Only ‘decided’ fits in the blank logically as the two friends had made a firm decision to take a bath in the oasis. Hence, option (1) is the correct answer.
Ans.11. 2; Only ‘stuck’ is the correct answer because the one, who had been slapped, was unable to move and started drowning in the quicksand. Hence, option (2) is the correct answer.
Ans.12. 4; ‘Recovered’ is the correct answer because the friend returned to the normal state after an unpleasant experience of drowning. No other option fits in logically. Hence, option (4) is the correct answer.
Ans.13. 5; Now’ is the correct answer as it introduces transition of idea. It indicates that earlier he wrote in the sand but at that time he wrote on a stone because his friend had saved him from drowning. Hence, option (5) is the correct answer.
Ans.14. 3; Only ‘replied’ fits in the blank logically as the other friend gave an answer to his friend’s question. Hence, option (3) is the correct answer.
Ans.15. 3; Only ‘engrave’ fits in the blank logically and grammatically because in the given context it refers to good deeds that must be carved on a stone so that they become eternal. Hence, option (3) is the correct answer.
